1.
Please check the Windows Regional and Language Options setting.
When you scan Traditional or Simplified document, please check the correct option.

 

[for Traditional Chinese setting]
In English operation system, if you need scan Traditional Chinese document, please follow below operation.

Step1. From the “Start” and select ”Control Panel”, and then select “Regional and Language Options” as shown.

Step2. On the ”Regional and Language Options” dialog, please check “Install files for East Asian languages” and restart system.
Note: you must insert “windows XP CD” into CD-ROM for install East Asian language.

Step3.after restart system, on the “Advanced” tab, please change “Taiwan” on the
“Select a language to match the language version or the non-unicode programs you want to use” option and check the “Default user account settings” and press “OK” as shown.

Step4. On the “Regional Options” tab, please change “Select an item to match its preferences, or click Customize to choose your own formats“ option and Location as “Taiwan” and the restart system again.

 

Step5. After restart system, on the “Languages” tab, please press “Detail” button as shown.

Step6. on the “settings” tab, please change “Chinese(Taiwan)-Chinese(Traditional)-US Keyboard” as default input language and restart system.

Step7. Restart and start to scan.

[for Simplified Chinese setting]
In English operation system, if you need scan Simplified Chinese document, please follow below operation.

Step1. From the “Start” and select ”Control Panel”, and then select “Regional and Language Options” as shown.

Step2. On the ”Regional and Language Options” dialog, please check “Install files for East Asian languages” and restart system.
Note: you must insert “windows XP CD” into CD-ROM for install East Asian language.

Step3.after restart system, on the “Advanced” tab, please change “Chinese(PRC)” on the“Select a language to match the language version or the non-unicode programs you want to use” option and check the “Default user account settings” and press “OK” as shown.

Step4. On the “Regional Options” tab, please change “Select an item to match its preferences, or click Customize to choose your own formats“ option and Location as “China” and the restart system again.

Step5. After restart system, on the “Languages” tab, please press “Detail” button as shown.

Step6. on the “settings” tab, please change “Chinese(PRC)-Chinese(Simplified)-US Keyboard” as default input language and restart system.

 

Step7. Restart and start to scan.
